Issue
- When users try accessing the http://[domain]/c/ URL, it redirects to the login page instead of a 404 not found page, even though no specific “c” page exists.
Environment
- Liferay DXP [all versions]
Resolution
- Liferay uses the "c" URL prefix internally for redirection and other special functions. Specifically, it designates a unique portal access point used by pages such as /c/portal/login and /c/portal/logout.
- As a result, when a user accesses a URL like http://localhost:8080/c/, Liferay treats the request as an attempt to enter the portal and redirects to the login page before continuing.
