Issue
- We created a 50% discount (A) with eligibility for certain Specific Account Groups.
- Then we created another discount (B) of 55% applied to some specific Products, setting it to All Accounts (which should include the Accounts of the Groups set to discount A).
- With this, all users, purchasing the Products eligible for the 55% discount, would have this higher discount.
- However, an Account of the Group defined in discount A, always gets a 50% and not a 55% discount.
- Please, is there a way to prioritize the 55% discount?
Resolution
- A discount that's applicable to all accounts is the least specific, whereas the one with specific account groups is higher in specificity.
- That's why that gets applied over the 55% one. This is the expected behavior.
- To achieve the desired result, we recommend setting up discount B as follows:
Eligibility: Specific account groups
Account groups: Select all existing groups
