Issue
- The new Applications Menu on 7.3 DXP can be toogled with the keyboard shortcut CTRL+Shift+M, however, when not logged into Liferay, the same shortcut natively toggles the Responsive Design Mode in Mozilla Firefox and the User Profile Selection popup on Google Chrome/Microsoft Edge (Chromium).
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.3
- Mozilla Firefox
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge (chromium-based)
Resolution
- Although this represents a usability issue, changes related to shortcuts must be carefully analyzed because they may override the browser's default behavior: this might not be standardized across browsers.
- To plan the change for upcoming versions and have a full regression testing, Liferay raised a Feature Request as a tracker: https://issues.liferay.com/browse/LPS-124225
