Issue

  • “Your request failed to complete” is displayed in the UI when trying to discard the changes of a published Publication.

Environment

  • DXP 7.4+

Resolution

  • What happens is that, originally, the Discard button should not appear after publishing a Publication. It's not possible to be able to discard the changes of an already published Publication, so the solution was to remove this button in order to avoid further frustration from the clients and users.
  • The button is removed with the following fix: LPS-204851. Although it is expected to have it added to newer versions of the Liferay Quarterly Release product, if you wish to have it in your environment, please contact Liferay Support and request a hotfix.
