Issue

  • When you go to Web Content, the Info Panel is visible on the top right corner. It is also visible when you select a specific Web Content and gives you valuable information.
  • However, when you perform a search, the Info Panel icon gets missing. This makes it quite difficult for the users to probe the filtered pages to find the one they are looking for.
  • This is especially helpful on sites with a large number of content articles and would help the users find the article they are looking for, also makes the interface more consistent.

  • Steps to reproduce:
    • In the Sidebar, Content & Data -> Web Content, add some web content. Select one Web Content and click the Info Panel to see details.
    • In Sidebar, Content & Data -> Web Content search for something. Select one specific Web Content again and you won’t see the Info Panel.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • Currently this feature is not included in any Liferay versions.
  • A feature request is submitted to analyze a possible change in the future: LPD-44808.  To track the status of the request, please inquire about it at Liferay Ask.
