Issue

  • Portal gets slow when using custom search, as it fetches huge search results in one go.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • Issue can be resolved with customization.
  • User can create a custom logic using AJAX call that would fetch 20 results in one go and fetch next 20 on click of a button.
