Naming Conventions for Liferay Fix Packs and Service Packs

While it is our hope that the naming conventions for Liferay releases would be mostly self-explanatory, this guide is provided to help explain the various elements you see within the release names.

Fix Packs

The diagram below explains the elements in the naming of Fix Packs for DXP 7.1+ :

Note: For DXP 7.0 Fix Packs, release names contain "de" instead of "dxp".

Service Packs

The diagram below explains the elements in the naming of Service Packs for DXP 7.1+ :

Note: For DXP 7.0 Service Packs, the names also include "digital-enterprise" after "dxp" and before the
"<bundle type>"

Additional Information

The naming convention for Community Edition (CE) follows closely with that of Service Packs.  See the example below which highlights the elements in CE releases that differ from Service Packs:
