Issue

  • This article describes how to identify and retrieve the outbound IP address of a Liferay PaaS environment. This might be useful for whitelists for outbound emails from the Liferay DXP service.

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS

Resolution

  •  You can retrieve your Liferay PaaS outbound IP by accessing the Liferay Cloud console, going into the Liferay service's shell and running the following:
    • curl https://ifconfig.me
  • We also have SPF, DKIM and DMARC configured. The SPF IPs can be identified by running the following within the Liferay service's shell:
    • nslookup -q=txt liferay.com
  • Note: The outbound IP address will depend on the location of your Liferay PaaS environment.
