Issue

  • How to disable 'Your Request failed to complete' error messages?

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

Please note: The following information involves customizations or implementation ideas that are beyond the scope of Liferay Support.  Please exercise appropriate discretion in the use of this information to choose to follow it. 

  • In order to achieve this, users can opt for writing custom CSS to hide error messages at the theme level by navigating to Control Panel > Site Builder > Pages > Click on Options (three ellipses dot at the top right corner) > Configuration > add below CSS code in Insert custom CSS that is loaded after the theme box:
     
    .alert-notifications{
    display:none;
    }
    .alert-notifications-fixed{
    display:none;
    }

Additional Information

  • The above approach would suppress success messages as well; hence, follow this approach at your discretion.
