Do I need more license keys if I have more Virtual Instances?

Issue

  • We have multi tenancy in our Liferay environment.
  • Multiple instances are created from Control Panel > Virtual Instances.
  • Do we need to deploy more license keys?

 

Environment

  • DXP 7.0+
  • Quarterly Releases

 

Resolution

  • As long as virtual instances are on the same server and share the same JVM, they do not require separate license keys.
