Issue
- I created some Web Contents based on a Web Content Structure
- The structure has a Date field
- I have an Asset Publisher Widget on the page
- The Widget is configured to show Web Contents with the above structure
- The order of the Web Contents is based on the dates provided in the Date field
- The Web Contents are correctly ordered in the default language
- If I switch the language, the order is not kept
Resolution
- This is a current limitation of the Product.
- Liferay is planning to change the behavior in future releases of the Product (possibly DXP 7.4).
- There are 2 workarounds are available for the scenario:
- Localize the Web Content Articles to the required languages.
- Make the Date field NOT localizable. Liferay will recognize the default date in all languages (without having to add translations).
