Provisioning Cloud Apps

You can provision cloud apps to your Liferay instance and start using them immediately. Unlike DXP apps, cloud apps integrate with Liferay SaaS directly and don’t require manual download or deployment.

Provisioning a Free Cloud App

Log into your Liferay account at marketplace.liferay.com.
Find the free app you want and click Get App.
Select your account and confirm that you’ve read the End User License Agreement and the Terms of Service.
Click Get App.

The app is ready for provisioning. Click Continue to Install to open the App Provisioning page. Then click Actions () → Install, or select View Details → Install.

The Details tab on this page shows your order information.
Select a project from the list. Projects without sufficient resources are disabled.
Choose an environment. You must have an environment with an EXT prefix.
Click Install.

Provisioning a Paid Cloud App

Log into your Liferay account at marketplace.liferay.com.
Find the paid app you want and click Get App.
Select your account and click Continue.
Click Paid.
Click Add to select at least one license. If a trial is available, you must choose between a trial or standard license—you can’t select both. Trial licenses are valid for a limited time, during which you can test the app to see if it meets your needs.
Click Continue.
Select an existing billing address or click New Address to add one. This is mandatory before making a payment.
Confirm that you’ve read the End User License Agreement and the Terms of Service.
Click Pay Now. Currently, PayPal is the only accepted form of payment.

After making the payment, the app is ready for provisioning. Click Continue to Install to open the App Provisioning page. Then, click Actions () → Install, or select View Details → Install.
