Shipments Management Reference Guide

To manage shipments, open the Global Menu (Applications Menu icon) and navigate to CommerceShipments.

Overview of the shipments page.

FieldDescription
Shipment IDThe shipment ID is auto-generated and is distinct from the Order ID.
AccountThis is the account that placed the order.
ChannelThis is the channel (store site) where the order was placed.
Shipment AddressThis is the account’s shipping address.
Tracking NumberThis is the auto-generated track number created by the carrier (UPS, DHL, the postal service, and so on)
Create DateThis is the date the shipment was created.
Estimated Shipping DateThis is the estimated shipping date for the order.
Estimated Delivery DateThis is the estimated delivery date.

Processing Tab

Details

You can enter key information about the shipment in the Details section.

Products

The Products section tracks all the products included in this shipment.

FieldDescription
SKUThis is the product SKU.
Order IDThis is the Order ID associated with this shipment. You can fulfill multiple orders in the same shipment as long as these are all from the same account.
WarehouseThis is the warehouse where inventory is drawn from.
Outstanding QuantityThe Outstanding Quantity refers the required quantity yet to be included in the shipment.
Quantity in ShipmentThis quantity refers to how many items are included in the shipment; this is subtracted from the Outstanding Quantity.

Click Add (Add Icon) to select items.

Select the items to be included in this shipment.

Click Actions (Actions icon) to choose the warehouse to draw inventory from.

Next to the corresponding warehouse, you can enter a quantity in the field or use the arrows to increment up or down. Click Save to apply the changes.

Select the items to add to the shipment.

Lastly, click Finish Processing to advance to the next phase in shipment processing. If the Quantity in Shipment value for any SKU is 0, the following error message appears: Error: Please select a valid warehouse and quantity for all shipment items.

Ready to Ship Tab

The Details section remains the same as above. The Carrier Details and the Estimated Shipping and Delivery Dates are still editable from this section.

There is a small change in the Products section. Here, you can delete an item from the shipment for various business reasons before shipping the order.

Ready to Ship tab's Product section allows users to remove items before they are shipped.

Shipped Tab

You can view the current status of the shipment here. The Carrier Details and the Estimated Shipping and Delivery Dates are still editable from this section.
