Installing Earlier Liferay Versions on Application Servers

As new Liferay versions are released, their dependencies and installation steps change. Liferay made a big change for DXP with the 2025.Q3 release, and with Portal with the 2026.Q1 release when it moved to Jakarta EE. If, however, you haven’t made that move yet, you can still install an older version of Liferay Portal or Liferay DXP using these guides.
