Issue

  • Upgrading from Liferay 6.2 to Liferay 7.0+ is a significant process. One of the changes implemented is the use of OSGi components. Several XML Descriptors have been converted to OSGi services.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0 and higher

Additional Information

  • Executing services within the connected Felix Gogo shell will print out a list of all OSGi services being used in the connected bundle
  • Some XML Descriptors can still be used in Liferay DXP 7.1, this documentation discusses them
