Issue

  • After upgrading to DXP 7.2+, I see that some Nested Applications widgets are not displayed on my pages and instead show a Nested Applications temporarily unavailable error.

Environment

  • Upgrading from DXP 7.0 to DXP 7.2+

Resolution

  • This error specifically occurs if the Nested Applications widget was configured in DXP 7.0 with the 1-2-1 Columns Layout Template. The layoutTemplateId has changed in DXP 7.2, causing the portlet to reference a template that no longer exist in DXP 7.2. 

  • Create a Help Center ticket to request a hotfix that includes LPS-125684. Install the hotfix with this fix and re-run the upgrade.
