Non-Liferay Users Cannot Use Their Domain in Setup Wizard

Issue

  • We just ran a fresh install of Liferay and are seeing the following error in the logs:
WARN [http-nio-8080-exec-5][PortalImpl:6760] null
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to get default company ID 

Environment

  • DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • At this time, non-liferay users are not able to use their domains with the setup wizard.
  • Please register for and/or use a liferay domain.
