Issue

  • I am trying to upgrade to 2024.Q4.5 or 2024.Q4.6.
  • The upgrade fails with the following error: 
    2025-02-03 15:56:10.160 ERROR [main][UpgradeExecutor:333] Failed upgrade process for module com.liferay.object.service
    java.lang.IllegalStateException: Unable to upgrade com.liferay.object.service to 10.2.0 from 10.0.0
            at com.liferay.portal.upgrade.internal.executor.UpgradeExecutor.execute(UpgradeExecutor.java:109) ~[?:?]
            at com.liferay.portal.upgrade.internal.executor.UpgradeExecutor$UpgradeStepRegistratorServiceTrackerCustomizer.addingService(UpgradeExecutor.java:330) ~[?:?]
            at com.liferay.portal.upgrade.internal.executor.UpgradeExecutor$UpgradeStepRegistratorServiceTrackerCustomizer.addingService(UpgradeExecutor.java:290) ~[?:?]

Environment

  • 2024.Q4.5 and 2024.Q4.6

Resolution

  • This is fixed in 2024.Q4.7: LPD-48218.
  • Avoid using version 2024.Q4.5 and 2024.Q4.6.
