Issue

  • The “Set limit of number of pages to preview” functionality is not working after configuring it on the Instance Settings level.

Environment

  • Liferay SaaS

Resolution

  • For SaaS customers, it is necessary to first request the configuration at the System level, for this it is necessary to open a ticket with Support
  • Note to Support: After defining a new preview limit in System Settings, it's necessary to perform a cleanup action to regenerate the document previews.
  • Request in to the Cloud Team to go to the following menu option: Server Administration > Clean Up Actions > Reset preview and thumbnail files for documents and media.
  • The clean up action is necessary for the environment to regenerate all previews. If this action is not performed, simply setting the value will not be applied to the entire environment.
