Issue

  • Users with permissions to create Collections are unable to select global Document Types when creating a new Manual or Dynamic Collection with the Document subtype.

Environment

  • Quarterly Release

Resolution

  • Please ensure that permission to select a global Document type is enabled. The minimum permissions for a user with permissions to create Collections to be able to select a global Document Type is the "View" permission under Document Types. To enable this, please go to the desired role in Control Panel > Roles > click the desired role > Define Permissions > Site and Asset Library Administration > Content & Data > Documents and Media > go to Document Type (towards the bottom between Shortcut and Document Metadata) > click the checkbox for View > Save.
