Issue

  • When I schedule web content to be published a few minutes in the future, the publication does not occur and is delayed for up to 15 minutes.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1+

Resolution

  • The web content scheduled for a few minutes in the future will not be published, unless you change the web content check interval to 1 minute.
  • By default, it is set to 15 minutes which means that the article checking mechanism will run to check for the web contents every 15 minutes.
  • In order to change the Check Interval value, please perform the following:
    1. Go to Control Panel --> Configuration --> System Settings and select "Web Content".
    2. Find Web Content under "VIRTUAL INSTANCE SCOPE" and scroll down until you see the option "Check Interval". You will notice that it is set to "15".
    3. Change the value to "1" then schedule a web content to be published a few minutes in the future. This way it will be published on time.
