Issue

  • Can not install a hotfix due to folder permission errors as following:
    liferay[liferay-xx] ## Hot fix
liferay[liferay-xx] ##
liferay[liferay-xx] 'hotfix' directory found. The following contents are going to be copied to /opt/liferay/patching-tool/patches and processed:
liferay[liferay-xx]/lcp-container/hotfix
liferay[liferay-xx] └── dev
liferay[liferay-xx]     └── liferay-hotfix-XXXX.zip
liferay[liferay-xx] mkdir: cannot create directory '/lcp-tmp/hotfix': Permission denied
liferay[liferay-xx] Installing /lcp-tmp/hotfix/*.zip
liferay[liferay-xx] cp: cannot stat '/lcp-tmp/hotfix/*.zip': No such file or directory

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS
  • Liferay service stack 3.0.21 or older.

Resolution

  • Update liferay service image to 3.0.22 or higher.
