How to disable login to access DXP web interface

Note: please note that Liferay has renamed its Liferay Experience Could offerings to Liferay SaaS (formerly LXC) and Liferay PaaS (formerly LXC-SM).

Issue

By default, authentication is required to access the Liferay DXP instance for both DEV and UAT environments.
It is recommended that you do not disable this functionality in an effort to prevent unwanted users from accessing your environment URLs,
But if necessary, the following will guide you through accomplishing this.

Resolution

In your local repo, just open the liferay.conf file under the /webserver/configs/dev/conf.d, and delete the following lines:
```
auth_basic "Authentication Required";
auth_basic_user_file /var/www/html/.htpasswd;
```
