Issue

  • From the "Define Permissions" of a new role, is it possible to define the respective permissions forNotice and Warning portlets as follows?
    • Users can view, update, and deletenotification portlet posts.
    • Users can view posts in the alert portlet

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0, Liferay DXP 7.1, Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • The announcement and warning portlets use the same resource model to call announcements.
  • If you look at the following two in the role "Permission Definitions", you will see that they use the same "Notice"resource permission. >.
    • Site Administration> Application > Notice
    • Site Administration > Application > Warning
  • A feature request LPS-118558 has been created so that each permission can be defined.
