Issue
- After updating a Liferay DXP 7.2 server to dxp-5+ and publishing content Guests no longer see web content articles.
- A fix, LPS-106146, was introduced in dxp-5 that addressed a permissions error when publishing from Staging to Live. As part of that fix permissions for web content are now published to Live automatically. If the Guest View permission was previously removed in Staging that permission is now published to Live resulting in Guest's no longer seeing any web content articles.
Resolution
- Update the the Web Content permissions, or other impacted assets, and ensure that Guests have the View permission. Then publish those assets to Live. This will cause the updated Permissions to be published and restore the Guest View permissions.
