Issue
- After setting the distributions scope in the Announcements Portlet, the announcements which it displays are now visible to all users and guests.
- I would like to restrict the announcements to the users within their distribution scope.

Resolution
- The "Customize Announcements Displayed" setting in the Announcements Portlet is designed to allow the distribution scope of that particular portlet to be set, but it does not restrict which users can see the announcements which are displayed in the portlet. For example, if the portlet is configured to display announcement from Organization A, it will display only announcements from Organization A, but anyone who can see the portlet can view them.
- To restrict announcements to be visible to only the relevant group of users, uncheck the "Customize Announcements Displayed" setting.
- After unchecking this setting, the Announcements Portlet will display all announcements, but they will only be visible to users within each announcement's distribution scope.
