Issue

  • How the Documents are stored and a mechanism to verify the backup storage with SAN storage.

Environment

  • Liferay 7.0

Resolution

  • When uploading the documents via document and media portlet from the Liferay portal, it's metadata would saved in database tables with different entries and images would saved in folders with numeric allotted digits, which can be seen inside the data folder.

  • Now, if there is a need to take a backup of these repositories, it might be taken but then won't be able to establish which file is with which name since it is saved with digits.
