Issue
- How to configure multiple mount points to the existing configured file system
Resolution
-
There is no OOTB option to configure multiple mounts to store documents and media files on a file system (local or mounted). The document store’s default root folder is
[Liferay Home]/data/document_library
and one can specify a different root directory from within System Settings.
-
However, there may be a situation where the existing mount point is reaching the maximum storage level. If so, the contents in the previous storage mount should be moved to the new storage mount with the same directory structure. Then pointing the new storage mount directory through System Settings and complete reindexing of the portal might help.
Disclaimer: Since this is not a tested scenario, please check thoroughly at your lower environment first and then proceed as per your discretion. Also, this should be performed when the server is down.
