Issue

  • If the production goes down, is there any real-time alert notified to the customer saying that the production server is down?

Environment

  • Liferay SaaS

Resolution

  • The production down and disaster recovery cases are still similar to the on-premise environment. i.e. there is no such feature to get the real-time alert when production goes down.
  • What Liferay shall provide is notifying the customer with email at least 72 hours in advance of planned downtime which will include the following information:
    • Reason for outage
    • Expected downtime
    • Contact information
Downtime for which Liferay has provided such advance notice shall be deemed “planned downtime”.
