Issue

  • In Liferay DXP, I no longer see the Toggle Controls button that was available in Liferay Portal.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • This is an intentional change implemented in LPS-63002. The Toggle Controls button was considered unnecessary on Desktop mode since the user is expected to access portlet controls by hovering over the portlet. Currently the Toggle Controls is available for Tablet and Mobile views since a user cannot hover over a portlet in those devices.

Additional Information

  • A Feature Request ticket has been created at LPS-77780 in order to request the Toggle Controls button to be reinstated to the Desktop view in Liferay DXP.
