Issue

  • In Liferay, when I configure Related Resources of a specific asset, I see that the asset links are bidirectional (two-way) by default. For example, if 'Web Content A' is published with 'Web Content B' as a related resource, 'Web Content B' also has 'Web Content A' listed as a related resource. I want to be able to set unidirectional (one-way) asset links so that 'Web Content B' is a related resource for 'Web Content A,' but 'Web Content A' is not a related resource for 'Web Content B.'

Environment

  • Liferay DXP

Resolution

  • Currently this behavior has been identified as a limitation in functionality, and a Feature Request ticket has been created at LPS-97128 to request unidirectional asset links. We recommend voting for the Feature Request to indicate your interest and watching the ticket to receive any updates.
