Issue

  • Fail to submit the form in added language with required field
  • Steps to Reproduce

    1. Go to Web Content > Forms
    2. Add a Form
    3. Add a Text Field
    4. Switch on Required Field
    5. Add a Translation, for example: used Chinese(China) for testing
    6. Publish the Form
    7. Visit the new added form by URL
    8. Change the language to Chinese
    9. Add the required value and submit the form, click the "提交" button

    Actual Result: Fail to submit the form, with error "Error: A custom field validation failed" on UIScreenshot__39_.png

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1 fix pack dxp-17 

Resolution

  • It's a known issue and is fixed in the fix pack dxp-18 and above.
  • If the hotfix is required for this issue on top of fix pack dxp-17, please create a support ticket requesting hotfix by attaching patch details.
  • Installing Fix Packs and Hotfixes on Liferay DXP will guide to install this hotfix in the respective environment.
