Issue

  • Liferay's pages do not display correctly when accessing Liferay directly (i.e. not though a web server, such as Apache HTTP server)

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.X
  • Liferay Portal 6.X

Resolution

  • Check the settings for the properties web.server.http.port= and web.server.https.port= in portal-ext.properties. 
  • In an environment with no web server in place, both of these properties must be set to a value of -1
