Issue

  • Is there any way to remove 't' parameter to alter the URL which is generated for Documents that are uploaded to the Documents and Media portlet?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2 Fix Pack 5

Resolution

  • The 't' parameter in the document URL is necessary when updating a document without incrementing its version, so it is not feasible to remove it from the URL.
  • However, customers can opt for customization so that the URL does not display the 't' parameter, a starting place that they can try is to make changes to DLURLHelperImpl.java

Additional Information

  • There is a separate channel called "Global Services Team" that can assist with development ideas in this area.
