Issue

  • I want to control what happens after a user logs out.

Environment

  • DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • There are two ways of achieving the desired outcome. The first is to create a custom module and add it to the list of modules of the following portal-ext property:
    logout.events.post=com.liferay.portal.events.LogoutPostAction,com.liferay.portal.events.DefaultLogoutPageAction
  • Alternatively, you can modify the com.liferay.portal.events.DefaultLogoutPageAction class. It has some comments regarding customizations.
