Issue

  • To establish a system that accepts images and allows for a review process. The images will finally be saved in a folder in the site's document library. The user wished to use a ruby script to get the images from this folder.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • Ruby was deprecated in Liferay DXP 7.0 because it was known to cause java memory issues.
As a result, this method cannot be recommended since Liferay would be limited in its ability to assist if any issues come while using Ruby Scripting.
  • Liferay does not provide suggestions for third-party services, so users can use whichever language works best for them.
