User unable to Login with CSRF error

Issue

  • User is unable to login, and gets the below error in logs:
    User 0 did not provide a valid CSRF token for com.liferay.portlet.SecurityPortletContainerWrapper

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • Firstly, check if the issue can be resolved by following the below article:
    Invalid CSRF Token warnings
  • If not, then make sure in server.xml port number is used instead of AJP and same port configuration is done in apache server, if exists.
  • Also, add below properties in portal-ext.properties file:
    web.server.protocol=https
    web.server.https.port=443
