Issue
- The layouts, portlets, and data from the template are copied to the site created from the template using the export-import process. The initial site created using the template just copies the content data. Only portlet configurations and layouts are exported and imported when the template is updated. Due to the fact that it prevents the page from loading, this procedure is usually slow.
As a result, performance is at the root of the majority of site template issues.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.2
- Liferay DXP 7.3
Resolution
-
End users should not experience a slower page load during the propagation, as is currently the case with DXP versions. Hence, LPS-121138 implements this feature, and the following are the fixed versions.
-
DXP 7.2: liferay-fixpack-dxp-11-7210
DXP 7.3: liferay-fixpack-dxp-1-7310
