Issue

  • I'd like to disable document versioning (so that every document has only one version)

Environment

  • 7.2+

Resolution

  • You cannot disable versioning altogether, per se, but you can reach an equivalent result by limiting the maximum number of document versions to 1.
  • This means that whenever a new version is created, the oldest versions will be removed.
  • You can find this setting in
    Control Panel > System Settings > Documents and Media > Maximum Number Of Versions
