Issue
- The preview of an uploaded image with the .heic extension fails.
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Start a Liferay server
2) Setup and enable ImageMagick (with HEIC support)
3) Navigate to System Settings > Adaptive Media > Images
3.1) Add an entry for Supported Mime Type: image/heic
3.2) Click Save
4) Navigate to Content & Data > Documents and Media
5) Upload an image in HEIC format
6) Click the image title to check the preview
Expected behavior: The uploaded image can be previewed successfully.
Observed behavior: Image can't be previewed with the "Info:Generating preview will take a few minutes." message on-page.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.3
- Liferay DXP 7.4
Resolution
- The observed behavior is a known Liferay DXP bug which has been addressed by LPS-151510
- If the hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting the hotfix by attaching the patch details.
