Issue
Content stored in documents and media can be versioned and updated.After a long period of use, some files will be updated many times and the number of versions will become quite large.
Is there a function to limit versions?
Environment
DXP 7.0+
solution
Control Panel > Settings > System Settings：Content and Data：Documents and MediaofSystem Scope：Services：Maximum Version Number
The default setting is "0" and the number of versions is unlimited. By adjusting this value, the number of versions to be saved can be controlled.
If "5" is set, when content is updated while versions 1~5 exist, version 6 will be newly created and version 1 will be deleted. If more than 6 versions already exist, the previous versions will be deleted according to the value of "Maximum Number of Versions" when the content is updated.
