Not Able to Preview PDF Document in Recycle Bin

Issue

  • After a PDF document is moved to the Recycle Bin, it cannot be previewed.

  • Steps to Reproduce

    1. Open Menu > Content & Data > Documents & Media
    2. Upload a pdf and publish
    3. Click 3-dot menu next to the pdf > Move to Recycle Bin
    4. Open Menu > Recycle Bin
    5. Click on the pdf file name
    6. Observe that a broken image icon appears, and no preview of the pdf loads.

  • Liferay DXP 7.2

  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • This is fixed by LPS-146237. Open a Help Center Ticket with Liferay Support and request a hotfix that includes this fix.
