Issue

  • How to display the most viewed document(s)

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1

Resolution

  • Liferay provides an OOTB portlet MOST VIEWED ASSETS to configure and display the most viewed asset on a page.
    1. Add the Most Viewed Assets portlet to any page by clicking the Add icon (Add), then navigate to Applications → Content Management (Content Management.png).
    2. Click on the Portlet's option (Options) and select Configuration to configure the portlet(Configuration.png).
    3. Under Setup click on Asset Selection and Asset type to select the assets you want to display(Asset Type.png).
    4. Click Scope to select the Sites(Scope.png).
    5. Click Filter if you want to create a new rule(Filter.png) then click on Save.
     
    After following the above steps, you could see the most viewed assets based on your configuration.
