Liferay provides an OOTB portlet
MOST VIEWED ASSETS to configure and display the most viewed asset on a page.
- Add the Most Viewed Assets portlet to any page by clicking the Add icon (
), then navigate to Applications → Content Management (Content Management.png).

Click on the Portlet's option (
) and select Configuration to configure the portlet(Configuration.png).
- Under Setup click on Asset Selection and Asset type to select the assets you want to display(Asset Type.png).
- Click Scope to select the Sites(Scope.png).
- Click Filter if you want to create a new rule(Filter.png) then click on Save.
After following the above steps, you could see the most viewed assets based on your configuration.
