Issue

  • Is it possible to assign permission or a role to a user in such a way that the user can edit 'Asset Publisher' on one page but not any other 'Asset Publisher' on any other page?
The use case is like this:
    Page-1 consists of 'Asset Publisher-1'
    Page-2 consists of 'Asset Publisher-2'
Now, user-1 should edit 'Asset Publisher-1' only and user-2 should edit 'Asset Publisher-2' only

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • In order to provide Asset Publisher Configuration restrictions to specific roles, users must uncheck the following permissions inside 'Site and Asset Library Administration > Site Builder > Pages > Resource Permissions' :
    • Site >>Manage Pages
    • Site >> Configure Applications
    • Page >> Configure Applications

In this way, specific Configuration permissions for different Asset Publishers will be managed in each Asset Publisher individually, for each role users can define in this way. Users should indeed edit their 'Asset Publisher' permissions as needed (Please use the screenshots as a guide only) AP-userRole2.pngAP-userRole1.png
