Issue
- Color Contrast throughout Liferay's out-of-the-box platform does not meet the minimum ADA requirements. One example of this can be seen when adding a page using the Global template; the toggle switches contrast ratio when in the "off" position is 2:3:1, which does not meet minimum ADA requirement of 3:0:1.
Environment
- Observed in DXP 7.4, though possibly present in previous versions of Liferay as well.
Resolution
- As noted in the Liferay Supported Usage page Color contrast issues can most easily be resolved through the use of custom themes.
