Issue

  • If we disable "Show Header" in Site Builder > Pages > Public/Private Pages settings > Look and Feel > Show Header, the user icon is not there. How should a user log out in this case?

Environment

  • 7.2

Resolution

  • There is a way to display the User Personal Menu in the Control Menu if you want to remove the Header. This way a user will still be able to access the logout function.

Go to Control Panel → Configuration → Instance Settings → Users and select Personal Menu. Enable the Show in Control Menu toggle and click Update.

You can also update your theme to include the Personal Menu anywhere in their theme by adding the following: <@liferay.user_personal_bar />
