Issue

  • The user was using a Remote Staging site. Remote Staging was disabled and the user decided to connect the Staged sites content with a new empty Live site. In the Staging publication window the past deletions appear.

(i): The best practice recommendation should have been that originally all content/deletions are all published before Staging is disabled.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.3
  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • Open the Staging Publication window.
  • Select "Replicate Individual Deletions: If this option is chosen, the delete operations performed for content types will be replicated in the target site.".
  • Select all deletions and make a new publication.

For the next publication the user will not see the deletions.
