Issue

  • Is there a limit in the size of a LAR file?

Environment

  • Liferay Portal
  • Liferay DXP

Resolution

  • Export:
    • There is no real limit, how large a LAR file can be during exporting
  • Import:
    • The file size limit is configurable for importing a LAR file
    • By default, Liferay has limit to 100 MB for file upload
    • To find this configuration, navigate to Upload Servlet Request
      (Control Panel > Configuration > System Settings > Infrastructure)
