'View in Context' link is not showing update content with display page template

Issue

  • Users are unable to view the updated content on the page with the display page template when clicking on the 'View in Context' link on the Review page.
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a Page and deploy asset publisher on it.
    2. In the Asset publisher widget, select the ASSET SELECTION as dynamic, and ASSET TYPE as web content.
    3. In Display Settings, display template as 'Full Content', Asset Link Behavior as Show Full Content, and checkmark the Set as the Default Asset Publisher for This Page, Show only assets with (Page Name)Testing as its display page template.
    4. Create basic web content.
    5. Select the Display Page Template as specific.
    6. Select > Pages > Select the page that we created in step 1 > Submit for Publication.
    7. Click on the notification > Approve the content.
    8. Now, again modify the content > Submit for Publication > Click on the eye icon > View in Context.
    Expected Result: Updated content must be visible when user clicks on 'view in context' link.
    Actual Result: Updated content is not visible when user clicks on 'view in context' link.

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known issue.
  • If a hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting a hotfix by attaching patch details.
