Issue

  • Where does the set of Synonym Sets get Stored? Is it stored in the database or search indexes?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • In earlier versions of Liferay DXP, the indexes were used as the primary data storage for Synonym Sets.
  • However, beginning in Liferay DXP 7.4, the Synonym Sets data is stored in the Liferay database.
  • Furthermore, the particular entries of the Synonym Sets can be found in the JSONStorageEntry table of the database.
